Went to Rowhedge for a drive out today. Popped into The Jam Jar for a coffee and cake. Decent cappuccino and an excellent slice of bread pudding.

Delighted that the Jam Jar cafe is once again open for take away drinks and food. It now has a large covered area outside so that whatever the weather you are protected from the elements. Lovely friendly service and my decaf, soya cappuccino was delicious. A great stop off on our Sunday walk

Previously reviewed jam-jar but staff have changed since. Had some time inbetween jobs so popped in for a breakfast. Initially a bit frustrated at the time it took to arrive (inbetween jobs) but when it came out it was well worth the wait. I was a bit wary that the servers/cooks were very young so didn’t expect much from the breakfast, to the point where as i left i had to ask if they had actually cooked it! It was well presented (although im not a rectangle plate fan tbh), all hot, eggs were on point, bacon and sausage well cooked. It was a cracking breakfast for less than a Ayrton!

This "little gem" in Rowhedge has a great atmosphere, the staff were very pleasant and the food, freshly cooked and delicious. What more can you ask for? We would thoroughly recommend a visit

Popped in during a walk along the river. Lovely coffee and really friendly service. Recommend, perfect if your walking along the river and need a stop off!

Brilliant local cafe. Really nice staff, all friendly and obliging. Homemade cakes are very good. Real bonus for Fingringhoe near the river. Lots of tables outside but under cover in an extension, increases the number of customers that can be seated. Good idea! Would recommend highly and will return. Thank you to all the very cheerful caring staff.

Fab venue for a chilled afternoon catch-up with friends. We enjoyed our tea and cake, which was great value for money. Staff were friendly, helpful, and very relaxed about us sitting outside even after the Jam Jar had officially closed. We will definitely return.
